Pomona CA RV Show
The California RV Show at the Pomona Fairgrounds is coming up in mid-October. We're going to be on a trip, but coming home on 17 Oct and planning on going to the show Friday, 22 Oct (our day off). Even though we bought our rig just a year ago at the show, we (I ) love to go and look at everything. We'd love to meet any other Montana/Mountaineer folks who can make on Friday, 22 Oct. Let us know by PM.

tdager,
I think you're right about Mike Thompson being the only Montana/Mountaineer dealer there, but there were others showing other Keystone brands. We got ours through Thompson, and while the deal was great, I've not been very satisfied with service overall. They are so big that they schedule you months in advance for service, and it takes 2 weeks to 1 day's work.
By the way, we'll be at the show on FRIDAY, 21 OCTOBER, not the 22nd as I stated earlier.

I'll be at the 1000 Trails Preserve in Murrietta that weekend and am going to try to get over there, probably on Sunday. Always nice to see the latest in features and designs, NOT necessarily IMPROVEMENTS!!

Bill Hill,
Have you tried Stier's RV in Bakersfield, I'm going up there this weekend to check out a new Mountaineer. Last year at Pomona, people were out with picket sign's complaining about Mike Thompson's service. I dont feel comfortable buying from them.

tdager,
I've talked to the folks at Stiers, they seem real nice. They've opened up a lot in Santa Fe Springs, but they don't do service there, so far only in Bakersfield, and that's just a bit far to go.

On Mike Thompsons. We bought at the Colton lot. We get our salesman to jack up the service dept when they don't get things done. We haven't always been successful but most of the time it does work. We just dropped off the Monty this morning for the rest of the warranty work. We supplied them with an additional 3 pages to fix. Not major just fixes. Plus the things that they had to order in August. We also told them that we needed the Monty back next Thursday because we are having our house fumigated. We were assured it would be ready. I told them that if it wasn't ready I would surely write the worst report on that dealership they had ever seen. I have there promise so we will see.
