Toyota pulling a new Montana!
Saw the Toyota pickup pulling a newer Montana yesterday in eastern Oregon on the interstate. He pulled into a gas station and left before I could see the model number, but is there a Montana out there small enough to be pulled by a half ton truck?

We were picking up our new fiver and there was a person there with a F-150 and was pulling a new Mountaineer out. OMG it was dragging the rear end, and the tires were so getting low. Told the wife they may make it down the road.

I saw two Montanas being pulled by GM 1500 over in MN. About a month ago. I didn't even go over to talk to them.

It's best not to talk to those who don't care unless you have a badge and the book with you. Just because it can be hitched doesn't make it right. It's near criminal that RV salespeople are allowed to sell an RV combination like this. Too bad this is only checked with Commercial driving and not the private sector. And even with commercial truckers driving unsafe goes on and on, until an accident makes the news or the limited LEO coverage catches up with them.
Did anyone see the recent Ice Road truckers episode ads, where the one driver found out he was 15,500 lbs overweight and the next scenes were he's on the road with the road cracking? Maybe he should been driving with a Toyota. Who knows what really goes on with these reality shows but I gave up on that show since these drivers seemed to be more maniacal, sensationalist and brain-dead, than safe and boring. I'll stick to "Mountain Men". I know I'll never identify with them.

Art, the problem with "some" salesmen is they want to sell you a camper, what you pull it with is up to them! I work p/t at an rv dealership and it happens all the time. Most salespeople don't even camp.

Toyota makes a 1 ton truck not sure what the model name is. I just looked at the Toyota site and they also have a 1 ton dualy diesel. Maybe the on you saw was a 1 ton?

Toyota does make some very large pickups compared to what they used to. Don't know the capacity because you can't get them worked on within sixty miles of here, but we do see some in town and their not my wife's old Toyota pickup. We could park it under some of them.

Probably costs me sales but I can sleep well. I tell customers about towing safety everyday. Some even get angry and tell me how much and how fast they can tow. Tow men and rescue squads need the work, I guess ??

Ok, so I went to the Toyota site, they do not offer anything bigger than the 5.7 in the Tundra, am I missing something?

Charlie (8.1) is correct. The Toyota diesel is merely a concept vehicle and not in production. Not to take away Emmel post, but I have even seen a 150 Ford struggling towing a Montana. I guess we all dream of the ultimate TV!
