We attended our first rally last year and had a BLAST!
If you can, I recommend taking the week off to immerse yourself. If not, David and Jean Ann's suggestion will work as well. The main thing is to get registered and go. The things you will learn and the people you will meet will be amazing.

Try to plan as much rally time as you can. All of the sessions are very informative. We’ve been attending the fall rallies since 2009. Vickie and I teach a couple of seminars and still attend some seminars and sessions where we are constantly learning. We hope to see you there.

I would suggest taking time off all the classes take place during the day I would especially suggest going to the Amish dinner it’s really good there all kinds of deals at the show

We attended our first rally in 2004. I was working full time back then. I concur with all that has been said. Steve gave you a link to last year’s schedule to give you an idea of what is available. Depending on how flexible your work schedule is, you may be able to work and play. As new campers, there is so much info. Lady’s tips/tricks, the roundtable for questions, solar seminars not to mention seminars for all of the major components from tires on up. Every year we get one or two people that say they didn’t get anything out of the rally. As with anything, you will get out of it what you put into it. You have a significant investment in your rig. Does it make sense to learn as much about it as you can? Only you can answer that question. We look forward to meeting with you at rally. Enjoy.

I too work remotely and have found the time to work off and on during the days during the rally. I'm lucky that I don't need to be tied to my computer and let the office know I'll be off and on during that week. I due have my own internet so connectivity is not an issue for me.

Thank you!

Thank you for all the wonderful responses! Feeback like this, and this forum in general, was a significant factor in our decision to purchase a Montana 5th wheel.

We are working out some scheduling issues now but looking forward to attending the rally! We do both have to work, but we'll figure it all out.

If on a phone or tablet, one can scroll all the way down to the bottom left side of the page and click on <View Full Site>. Once the page reloads, look just below your name or avatar where your last post is located. The MOC number will be displayed there.

Otherwise one can utilize a laptop or desktop PC to access the forum. MOC numbers will displayed in the same location.

Hope this helps

Schedule question

Based on all the fantastic feedback, my husband and I decided to take a week off of work and register for our first rally. I was right in the middle of registering when I realized that my granddaughter's birthday is 9/4. My son is happy to plan her party to make is more convenient for us (i.e. Saturday brunch party - which is awesome if you've never had a brunch birthday party), but realistically we would not be able to arrive until Saturday night.

We are fine doing this, but wanted to make sure this was OK before we go ahead and sign up. Do people miss full days on either end like this? Will such a late arrival cause any issues? I'm guessing it's OK, even though not ideal, but just wanted to reach out before completing the registration.

Upgrades / Mods

This will be are first rally. I have read some other forums that vendors offer upgrades and modifications at rally’s? Is this something that is done? IE. add combo washer dryer and third A/C
