Great looking job. The one thing we found when we replaced the carpet is how much crap and gravel we were impeding in the rug. Now we sweep everyday and the amount of stuff swept up is amazing. You'll be really glad you did it.

Looks really good. What brand of flooring did you use?

Oz you read my mind. That's our first project in the spring. I also would like to know what flooring you used?

I will tell Sue, she bought it at Lowe's. We actually got vinyl tile squares first and laid them out on the floor to see how they would look. We weren't happy with them, so back they went to Lowe's and she picked out the wood-look-alike. We thought about wood, but we were afraid they would be too thick for the slides.
If you all decide to go with the stick-on type, clean the floor real good and lay down paint first, they stick real well on the paint. I just picked up a gallon of mis-matched clearance paint. It was real cheap.
We put down 2 rooms of the wood flooring and 6 rooms of tile in the casa. Getting too old for the flooring deal...

Did you do the bedroom, or leave that carpet?

Did you leave the carpet on the slides as well? I think we're just going to do the downstairs floor area and leave the rest alone.

Yes, we left the carpet on the slides, you almost have to because of that carpet flap that hides the slide overlap.

Yup, us too. Too much work to take the bed apart to work under it. Maybe some day.

Looks great! Wish I had the ambition to do the same. Carpet in the living area is not practical.

One question Ozz. Did you have to do anything where the slides come in over the floor you just put down? As in any adjustments to the slides or is there enough room?

Hi Dave,
No, plenty of room there for what we did. the carpeting was pulled and the flooring thickness was about Par.
Wish I was where you are at now... Poo people has poo ways...

Very nice job Ozz & Sue. DW has been hinting to me about doing something like this to ours also.
