Visiting MOC Friends While Traveling
Now that we are retired, we are taking advantage of visiting MOC friends along the way. We stopped to see Jan and Paul Kelpe on the way to the 10th Anniversary Rally. We met up with H. John Kohl in Ohio (he even had our site reserved and guided us in). After a visit to the Capitol, we almost got to meet Lynne and Chris Holmes - bad weather - next time. Then we spent the night at Jim and Vickie Fischer's house last night and had lunch with George and Rosetta Person in North Carolina. Also met Pat and Larry Sessoms at lunch. It is great to have such wonderful friends. We look forward to returning the favor. Thanks for the hospitality.

And our MOC family is all over the USA. Some will even drive a couple hours to spend some time with you. Just great people!

Steve is absolutely correct. We have been treated by many of the MOC as family members and in turn we proudly refer to many of the MOC as our extended family!! The MOC members that we have met during our travels confirms that there are fantastic people in this world and many of them will assist you in any way possible!

Ron and Terrie,
You are absolutely correct. Visiting MOC friends when out on the road is one of the best things about the Forum. Dennis and Mary Kay

Rosetta and I truly enjoy Ron and Terrie's visit. The ladies got a little talk in on quilting and Ron helped me remove a few items from the Monty before the rain. Thanks for the visit, the conversation and great company. We will see you somewhere sometime for sure.

You're lucky to be retired and have the time to visit with all these fine folks!
We anticipate our retirement will be this time next year.
Thanks for the post. Good to hear you are enjoying your retirement! You deserve it.

Jay, you will enjoy retirement. We were nervous, given that we haven't figured how to maintain our pre-retirement income. And, if we lived in town with restaurants and temptations, it might be different. But, up on the mountain it is a simpler life. It is definitely a change in lifestyle - at least for us. But we are enjoying it and our travel. Just need to stay away from cities like Washington DC, Tampa and New Orleans. $100+ meals aren't in the budget any more on a regular basis. The important thing is Terrie and I get to travel together, see friends and enjoy seeing family.
