no hdmi from Stereo to tv on 2021
I tried playing a dvd for first time in my 2021. I hear it playing, nothing on tv inputs, and clearly no hdmi coming in from stereo. So I pull the stereo out of hole and clearly no pre-connections. I need to add an hdmi permanently. Have others had this issue? I cant believe they wouldn't have done this automatically at plant, or someone just forgot. Is you dvd player already set to play to one of the tv inputs on a 2021?
ON edit with an hdmi the tv clearly gets a signal, i have tested, just curoius if yours came without too.
And what have people done to get audio from tv to one of the inputs on the recevier so you can enjoy tv sound through the stereo

Sounds like a warranty issue to me. Never heard of a rig coming from the factory not hooked up.

Dick is right. Our unit had HDMI to TV but it was in the wrong HDMI port on the TV. It should be in the port marked "HDMI (ARC)" or similar. The ARC is the audio return channel which allows other content (broadcast tv or other devices like Roku) to play audioback thru the stereo sound system. Not great, but better than the TV sound. Sound in the 22 models is JBL (Team Montana just posted YT video on 22 changes).

I'm sorry if I missed something. Are you saying that there isn't an HDMI port coming out of the stereo making the connection impossible or that it just wasn't set up with a cable from the factory? I'm assuming the latter since it's hard to imagine that the new JBL system they installed wouldn't have an HDMI Out. If it's just a matter of adding a cable then that isn't bad.
I hope the JBL system they are now using is better than the Furrion junk that came in ours. After the original failed, as well as the following 2 warranty replacements, I just installed my own BluRay player and a sound bar. Has worked perfectly since.

FYI - my 2021 Legacy has Jensen stereo, to my knowledge the 22 comes with JBL and deemed/marketed to be an upgrade. My Jensen stereo has ARC HDMI port.
