Unhappy City water connection overflowing

Hooked up to the water at a campsite with a water regulator. Winterize is set to off. Tank fill is set to normal flow (versus fill). Pump is off. After a few hours there is a stream of water coming out of a port on the side of my 2014 Mountaineer.

To keep water from running out of this port I hook up to the fresh water connection and turn on the pump.

Please let me know what I am doing wrong or what should be checked.
