Moryde Pin Box

So, we have a Moryde pin box on the Big Sky. I noticed today that the four white disks are cracked and peeling and generally starting to come apart. I assume they need to be changed. Is this something a lowly non handyman like me can do? How easy is it to screw it all up? Are we in immediate danger?

If they are failing, call Mor/Ryde for the parts. You will need a torque wrench with a 13/16" socket to torque the bolts connecting the guide rods to 85 ft lbs, and whatever size end wrench, either a 1/2" or 9/16" to remove and re-install the bolts holding the plastic pads to the upper plate. I found that a good pair of pliers may help to keep the guide rods from turning until the guide rod bolts are fairly tight, then they can be torqued without being held. You may also need an extra hand to help hold things so you can get bolts installed.

Thanks, B&B! Sounds like something I can do without spending a fortune on labor!

I took mine apart for inspection and it was very easy to reassemble, torque, and I had no parts left over!
