3400RL Floor wet when travelling in rain

There was a message a while ago from someone with this problem, we also had it when travelling on very wet roads when we arrived at our destination our kitchen floor was wet. Well we took it to our dealer before this trip and this is what he found "area at backside (rear) of kitchen slide, found a 1/2 inch gap, removed gasket and installed new wider gasket". We have just travelled through a heavy thunderstorm in the Miami area today and when we arrived at our site the floor was dry, so hopefully that problem is solved. Now all we have to do is fix the problem with the leaking shower. Our Dealer appears to have done a lot of work on the plumbing but we still have to put a bucket under the drain. Otherwise so far no other problems. The unit definitely dosn't leak not after the deluge of rain we had this afternoon. Diana

We posted back in August, 2004 how we solved our leaking shower in the 3400rl. Do a search for leaking shower in archieved post. The post topic is "No more leaking shower". I tried to give detailed instructions for the leak fix. Our shower has not leaked for 10 months. If you have any questions just send me an e-mail. Marilyn and Bruce Cox.

Dianancolin,

These are the same problems we had with our 3400. We stopped on our way home from Texas and had repairs completed. The wet kitchen floor - we too had an opening around the gasket. They worked on the seals and resealed the slide with additional rubber caulking. The leak into the basement from the shower was caused by four different items: 1; water connection at the tub's faucet was loose - I fixed, 2; water leaking behind / between the tub and wall - I caulked that area and fixed, 3; Water leaking underneath the the tub faucet because there was no caulking underneath it and 4; the waste pipe connection on the bath tub was not properly connected.

Hope this helps!
