Simple Solution For Simple Problems
Not sure how popular Wal-Mart Swim Noodles are among MOC'ers, but thought I would pass on a few uses I have found for them.
I wanted a way to eliminate a trip to the local emergency room while camping so put these on the bedroom slide:

Was looking for a way to take some of the weight of the TV off the wall support and transfer it to the counter top:

And the latest, every time we travel, and want to use the microwave, the glass plate is somewhere in there other than where it is supposed to be: The noodle was cut just 1/4" longer than the distance from the glass plate to the top of the MW.

Any other uses?

The first idea is actually an excellent idea. Had I done that when we had our Coachmen, I wouldn't have needed to have 5 staples put in my head. But then, I wouldn't be able to say I have a zipper head either.

The guy giving me the walk around on pre delivery told me at least 6 times not to walk into one of the living room slides. I made it 3 days before I managed to walk into one. I made a trip to Wally World right away and bought a couple swim noodles. I don't know how many times they saved my head, but sure worth all the $3 I spent on them

I like the microwave solution. Never had the pleasure of having to go to the hospital for running into the corner of the slide out but made them anyway...

Like the microwave idea. Noticed someone with the noodles on their slideout when we still had a TT so those went on when we bought it. I also use them to go around the ladder on the back of the rig to protect it from my other ladder and protect my bike from both when we travel.

Microwave In previous coach bounced around, we had to reset the turntable in the microwave every time we moved, good idea. We use the noodles for corner of bedroom slide. Have family member that had to get stitches from a neighboring rig slide-out corner so we were forewarned when starting RVing.

Great ideas!
We use the noodles cut to length in the refrigerator...more convenient than the springy things.

After banging my head, I usually look around to make sure no one saw my stupid act!

I have one of those great telescopic ladders, and use noodles on the steps to protect the rig when working.

I usually remember to put my noodle on the bedroom slide AFTER I bang my head during set up.

Dont forget to REMOVE them before you run the slide in, it bends the heck out of the fascia.

Sounds like experience speaking there Dave! I also use a noodle cut down and put on the front of the hitch pin to warn me not to cut the corner to close. One on the pin itself is a good idea also. Don't ask me how I know. No stitches but a pretty good headache afterwards!

We like to leave our entry door open and just use the screen door (which has lexan on it) except on cold days. I cut a short piece of noodle to put on the latch that holds the door open so the door won't rattle on a windy day. Has to be a tight fit.

thanks for the tip. I went to Wal Mart and bought 3 noodles. One for the slide and 2 to slip over my water hose for fresh water that sits in the sun all day.

Just had to deal with working in the basement (convenience center side) and slipped a couple of spares cut for the bedroom slide over the bottom of the doors to keep the wind from whacking me with the door.
