RV Park in Amarillo

UPDATE, August 30th: Thanks, everyone. Oasis was the park!

A few months ago, a MOCer posted a nice review/recommentation about an RV park in Amarillo. I thought I saved the info about the park, but after searching my computer files tonight, I can't find the review. The MOC member who stayed there said he received a nice discount on the rate, too. Does anyone remember which RV park/campground in Amarillo got such a nice review? I've searched on the internet for the RV parks in the Amarillo area, but none of the sites I found ring a bell. My brother is going to be going through Amarillo soon and wanted an RV park recommendation there.

Thanks,
Carolyn

Have you tried the Search function? Here is one hit from June. Much earlier requires clicking on the "Archived Posts" box to search the older postings.

Don't know how it is now, but almost 20 years ago we spent the night south of Amarillo in Palo Duro Canyon SP, and it was awesome. IN those days they had one of those out door plays in the park called "Texas". it was great. My only other recollection of Amarillo was August and September of 1968, when I went through Air Force basic training there. Lackland AFB was full, and Amarillo AFB (long since closed) got the overflow. Six weeks of fun in the sun!

Probably Oasis RV Park. I remember reading some posts about it and greatly discounted rates of around $20 with some kind of special card. A few miles west of Amarillo.
We always stop at Fort Amarillo RV Park. It is also a nice park on the west edge of Amarillo. Several restaurants and shopping nearby. Rate of about $27 with senior discount. But their gift shop may costs you more than the site itself.

Oasis RV Park--$20.00 per night with the 3rd night free--all paved roads and large pads to park on with a large level concrete pad for your RV--they also have discounts for breakfast and dinner-- they have an on site RV repair facility if needed--it's on the west side of Amarillo just south of the Love's on I40--

We always stay in the Overnite RV Park...however, if airplanes going over head bother you, don't stay there. The park is under the departure end of the north runway.
