Gypsy, I did the same thing with no increase in insurance premium, the dropping of the trailer is a comprehensive claim (falling object). The insurance companies should only increase your premium when your behind the wheel and at fault. It was great meeting you rally. George Homer

Hope Allstate has their act together. They've had some problems as of late... Class action settlement...

My experience with slapping the hands a huge corporate giant that is doing something wrong, is that you can't halt a charging locomotive's momentum in one day. Their field offices continue these questionable practices for months, as, in many cases, that is the only way they know how to create a paycheck. These guys still have families to feed and bills to pay, so they continue to do what they know, in order to get a paycheck.

Don't ask me how I know this... Just do your own research on the web, and see if your premiums have increased in the past year or so. Check your Credit Reports to see if your insurance company has been into them. Protect yourself and don't assume you can trust anyone.

Hi Ray and Di - I had encouragement from others to share my story so it might help someone else. Otherwise, it could have been our little secret! Hope you're staying cool in Texas.
