Satelite dish mounted

I mounted a Winegard satellite tv antennae ladder mount on the ladder to make it easier to receive the signals and safer from theft- The literiture states it is permissible to leave our G2 mounted while in transit, but I am leery of doing it- Hopefully, there are those on the forum with experience to share in this area- I welcome your comments and await your responses- THANX in advance- Don

When we had one of those we ladder mounted it also, but I was afraid to try and haul it down the road like that. We've hit some bumps on interstates that have caused the slide trim to come off inside and that's with IS so I just always took it down when we moved.

We have a friend and fellow MOCer who has traveled over 10,000 miles in three years with the Winegard mounted on the ladder. It is rock solid.

We've a newer Tailgater that I purposely didn't mount permanently anywhere. I've a length of rope tied to the handle so I can climb to the roof and then haul it up if that's where it can get the best reception. Too many CGs have made me have it on the ground though, sometimes a fair distance away from the trailer. I use a bicycle cable lock and a screw in dog tether to lock it down then.

Had a ladder mount for over 3 years with no shifting or any other problems. Secured it and antennae with a bicycle cable for security. Wife wanted HD, so we just upgraded to the Travelor which works great!

I have been using the ladder mount for my portable dish for about 4 years now and have probably put 20,000 plus miles on the rig with it attached. In fact, it never comes down. I have never had an issue other than it's hard to get around when using the ladder to get to the roof.

I just installed one on the roof of my MH. I put it beside the over the air antenna and used that wire. Couldn't be easier and works great.

I have the ladder mount and have had no problems. I check the screws the make sure they have not come loose.
