Filed away for future reference in case it is needed (to date - not). Our Honda 2000 is approaching four years of age, I pull it, it starts, runs as long as I want it to, Stabil through the winter, no problems! Great genny!

Bingo, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. I just bought a 2005 2955RL. I am going to buy a Honda eu2000i companion. Can I mount it in the front compartment if I leave the door open when I run it? I am not sure if the compartment is sealed. Any advice would be helpful.

Russ,
I would strongly recommend against running it in the generator compartment without an exhaust system (it is not sealed that I know of, and is actually open on the bottom). CO is deadly, odorless, colorless and a source underneath your rig without a properly engineered exhaust system is an invitation for disaster. It is fine to carry it there, but it should be removed and situated away from the rig when it is being used. My opinion only, when we had a gas generator I always kept it in the bed of the truck and ran a shore cord to the rig.

Thanks for the advice. I will run it from the back of my truck.
