Cummins - Rough idle

Our 2004 RAM with a Cummins motor is idling a little rougher than normal but seems to be running at speed very well. We've seen no noticable decline in mileage or power so I'm not sure what it is. We will be taking it to our mechanic to check it our but I thought one of you might have some ideas of what it could be.

You might try fuel injector cleaner, just add to fuel tank. There might also be a valve on the fuel system to allow water to escape it. Hope it is something simple, good luck.

I second the injector theory, had a similar condition with our 05 and the dealer suggested that before they worked on it. I can't remember what I used but is solved the problem. There is also a known issue with a wire from the AC chafing and causing odd problems I seem to recall it was on the passenger side near the canister. I'll try to find the article on it.

Changing your fuel filter might help, or at least draining it.
