Horns!
I now have my original truck horns; very loud, my set of three train horns very loud as well, today, I installed the 'Stutter horn' Ambulances have them, it is a Grover. I wrote earlier that I was stalled on the project, but today I completed it.
The horns are louder than the video reflects. I have a foot switch on the train horns, I use the Ford toggle switch for the 'stutter horn'
For those of you who suspect I am 'not quite right' I gleefully supply evidence

You know by the time I’d figure out which horn to use, the moment would be gone!
Good sound though!

We need to change your name to Tim Taylor. AARRR AARRR AARRR!!! Those horns are too cool. I've been telling the DW that the two things that my truck is missing are air horns and a push bumper. At times, I thought of mounting a shotgun in the grill.

I just can't help myself, I am always looking for the next project. You know how satisfying it is to do a wiring controls job, make things work automatically, and put things together.
My next project will be to install a 12 volt solenoid on my air storage tank for the condensate drain. I will pipe it into the bottom of the tank. Then using one of the Ford paddle switches for the switch. Every now and then I need to drain the moisture out of the tank.

A word of warning. Sometimes, if you scare people with the train horns, they will lock it down in front of you...not a good feeling in a Peterbilt or when pulling a fifth wheel. The really do sound cool though, especially in a tunnel.

Good advice, I'm not one of those people that abuse the horns, probably outgrew that a few decades ago, mine are for fun mostly, but I am not above blasting when appropriate. I remember outside San Antonio, all 3 of my lanes packed, a woman entering by the on-ramp. She kept coming, not looking, there was no place for her except the side of my Montana. At that time, my Hadley's gave her a good warning blast, she slammed on her brakes. Without the warning, she would have run into us.
They do sound cool in a tunnel....

Ozz,
You are missing a picture.
Please have Sue take one of you so we can see your "devilish" horns.
They do sound horny.

Love it, enjoy and remember on narrow winding roads the horns can get you ride of way. I put a set of air horns on a 1949 VW so we could get ride of way going across the swiss alps. Made some folks use fowl language but others loved it. The horns were as big as the vw.
