Slide Problems

We went to check out our 2003 3295RK today in anticipation of our first trip of the season. Installed the dual batteries (which appear to be charged) made sure all connections are tight, hooked up our generator since no shore power available in storage, and pressed the out button for the slides. The bedroom slide deployed somewhat slowly then the kitchen slide moved several inches very slowly. That was as far as it went. We were able to retract the bedroom slide but took quite a while. The kitchen slide is still out a couple of inches. The unit acts like the batteries are down but had them checked latter today and they are OK. The hydralic fluid reservoir is filled within about an inch of the top and control valves are open for all three slides. They were all working fine when we put the rig in storage in mid-November!

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank a bunch, Jacob & Sharon Schmill

My slides are twice as hard to move in the cold weather. It even stops (tripping the breakers). I wait a minute or two and continue.
Good luck and let us know what you find.
Cheers,

Hook your rig up to the truck (using truck battery power) or to 110v. Then try moving your slides. If this makes them work as intended, I would suggest that your batteries, while showing 13 or so volts are actually diminished as pertains to their amperage.
