no hot water

This is strange. Came home tonight to find no hot water flow in the trailer. The cold runs fine. The tank has water(opened the pressure valve and got water). The switch is on and all visible valves are open. Is there some hidden valve I don't know about that would stop the flow of water??.Also, I came home and it appeared that someone had been in the trailer.

Hi Garin,

It sounds like that pesky little one way check valve in the top rear of your HW tank.
The "out" water line joins right into it. It is there so antifreeze won't try to fill your 10 gallon HW tank up, when you winterize your trailer.

There has been a few that just plug up and stop letting hot water pass through.

I agree with John. We had the same problem a couple of years ago and it was the checkvalve. Less than five bucks at your local rv dealer. They're pretty generic, you don't have to go to a Montana dealer.

"UPDATE" I found a check valve at a local dealer for $8.00 but when I went to replace it I couldn't get the old one out,so,, I worked the plunger several times on the old one and now it is working. It could have been gunked up I guess. Time will tell.(kept the new one just in case)
