This morning, I saw that the ON light and GAS check lights were both flashing about 1 time per second.
The refrigerator is a
NORCOLD N811 (N811FLT) which came with my 2011 Montana Mountaineer 347THT
I was plugged into 50A shore power, I'm not using propane. The refrigerator had been working great all weekend using electric power, but then I saw this error.
The switch was set to AUTO. I set it to OFF, then back to AUTO, and the flashing lights started again.
According to the Owners Manual, the problem is:
Quote:
FAULT CODES:
Light and Status
ON light and GAS light both
flash about once per second
Meaning
No energy source is available.
AC voltage is not available (or
the refrigerator is in Manual
GAS mode), and the burner did
not ignite or re-ignite
Corrective Actions
If in AUTO mode, check:
- That the refrigerator is plugged into a serviceable outlet.
- That the fuse or circuit breaker of the vehicle is intact.
- That the vehicle generator is operational (if applicable).
In any mode, check:
- That there is not air in the propane gas supply line. See
"Removing air from the propane gas supply lines" section
of this manual.
- That the valve of the propane gas tank(s) is open.
- That the propane gas is at the correct pressure.
- That the manual shut off valve of the refrigerator is open.
- Reset the refrigerator by turning it OFF and then back to
AUTO or GAS mode.
- See your dealer or authorized Norcold Service Center.

It sounds like it's not getting AC power, although the ON and GAS lights are both powered and the interior light is powered, but those may be powered by DC (the battery).
Couple of suggestions I've found:
Check the circuit breaker
Check if a GFC circuit has tripped
Check if there's AC power going to the fridge, open the vent cover on the outside and check if there's power on the AC outlet the fridge plugs into
Check the 8A fuse (F2) on the 120 VAC circuit on the power circuit board
Check the 5A fuse (F1) on the 12 VDC circuit on the power circuit board
Has anyone else had this problem? What was your solution?
