$70,995 for 2014 Montana 3402RL

Just an FYI, local dealer "Bretz RV" is advertising a 2014 3402RL for more than 70K. Looks like a nice unit but can't believe the price!

Maybe some gold plating has been added since in 2014 the MSRP was $77,995 and probably selling for somewhere around $62K with a normal 20% discount> Current high NADA is about $36K. Good luck to that seller

FYI, when I bought my 2014 3402RL, I paid Tiara RV $56,000 which included them installing Goodyear G614s, a stackable washer/dryer, and slide toppers.

It is worth what you can get for it. It might be worth 25K to me.

2014 for 70k +

Wow! We have a 2020 that has been to FL for the winter. We are building a house and are planning on asking $69k for our 3791RD. And it has some nice adds - combo W/D Splendide, slide covers on the 5 slides, surge suppressor. Is this more realistic?

Just guessing but is this like trucks right now - inventories so low, demand so high, that dealers are asking original MSRP (or more) for used vehicles. Truck stock so low around here (NE Kansas) that new 1-tons are at MSRP plus dealer markup, and that was assuming the dealer still had any.

I'd probably sell my 2016 3791RD for that, it's MSRP was $89889.

starting to look like RV's are like investing in a house. Prices here in AZ are through the roof. Even the old ones are selling for a very high price. The class A and C are holding there own

WOW...we only paid 70,000 for our 2020 3670FL....Depreciation is about 20 percent the first year and 3 to 5 percent every year after.....I would thinking the price should be closer to mid 40's...

Good Luck, sounds like the dealer is trying to take advantage of the Covid shortage.....

A year ago I purchased a 2018 Montana 3120 RL LEGACY from a private party who had put 720 miles on it. It's fully loaded with more stuff than I could begin to tell you about. Paid $62,000 so, yes, to me that seems off the charts where pricing is concerned.

When checking nation wide listed sale prices for my 2007 3075RL, I found asking prices from under $15,000 to over $35,000. I seriously doubt any actually sold for any where near the high end.

So offer them 45... all they can say is no... so can you. Lots of fish in the sea. Demand for RVs is out-stripping supply. The same shortages that are affecting everything else is also affecting RV production. Therefore prices are rising. ECON 101. Things will eventually settle down again, especially once people realize lack of campsites and the "glamping" thing crashes into harsh reality. RVing is not for everybody but right now it's getting a lot of press as an alternative especially with boomers hitting full retirement stride. All of it is geared to extracting money from people's wallets. Nothing else matters to the great money machine.
