Need help learning how things work. Had a 2011 Laredo and this Montana is a lot different. Where is drain for fresh water tank? How do you fill fresh water tank without overfilling it?

Welcome aboard! You'll find a lot of good help here and there are several who have your same rig.

Look under the rig for red and blue Pex pipes sticking down through the coroplast. A Red and Blue will be together and likely near or below your convenience center. Those are for draining the entire system. A blue one will be alone and is the drain for the fresh water tank. You fill the tank in the convenience center turning the various water switches per the diagram provided there.

Welcome to the forum! The drain for the fresh water tank should be a tube coming out of the coroplast near the rear of the rig. Since we normally stay where wind and storms are an issue I usually fill mine until water comes out of the vent tube. The extra weight low on the camper really does make a difference. If I know storms are expected I'll also close the gray tanks and let weight build up in there also. The vent tube is also in the rear or side of the camper and has a U shaped cover over it.
