Potable water hose
Does anyone have any experience with these hoses. I like, the idea of them collapsing but don't know if they're any good or worth the price. Thanks

Don't have experience with those types of hoses. I've been thinking of going that route, but not thinking hard enough to do any research.
Do they have an anti-microbial lining to make them safe for drinking water ? Is it even possible to make a collapsible hose with such a lining ?
One thing I have noticed is they are generally 1/2" inside diameter vs 5/8" inside diameter. We already use at lot of items that reduce water flow such as filters, regulators, quick disconnect fittings, etc. Do you want a hose that does that too ?
Well, maybe I did a little research.

The one that says silver bullet, is Drinking water safe. The other one that says bonic Flex hose does not indicate it is drinking water. Safe.

I bought a 30' silver bullet hose from Lowes and have used it for almost 2 years with no problems. I roll it up (rather gather it up) sort of like an electric cord and put into a plastic bucket. It is less bulky than a regular hose. I need to buy another one just to insure I have enough hose for the oddball sites - and ditch my 25' section of old white RV hose.
I have a couple of similar hoses that I use to rinse my black and gray tanks. They are the type that shrink up into a small wad. They are not as robust as the silver bullet hose and they were about half the price of the silver bullet hose. Works fine for me.

I have had 3 or 4 of them. They takes up very little space. Make sure the pressure regulator is in front of the hose - I have had a couple blow out over time.

I have tried tried a couple of those collapsible drinking hoses. They made the water taste and smell horrible. One I got at WM and took it back. I even went so far as to chase down the company to complain. It was just a stripmall office front. They were shutdown.

I've got one I carry with us to use to wash down when we get to our CG. It has a label saying "do not keep under pressure." Read the fine print.

I’ve used the Zero G hoses with good success to date. Time will tell. But they are suitable for drinking water.

I also have 2 25ft zero g hoses. Very light weight and work well. They come in both 5/8 and 1/2 inch sized too.

I( went with the ZeroG hose. I had a couple flex hoses and they both burst.
Here is what i have
https://www.amazon.com/4001-50-Light.../dp/B014M9PEXC
I like to carry 2- 25' hoses instead of a 50' er.

We have used ZeroG hose for a few years now and really like it. It's lightweight and easy to roll up and store. We bought ours on sale at Lowe's, less than $ 25.00 for a 50' 3/4" hose. You can also find them on Amazon and CW even sells a "special blue RV version, although I don't know what the difference is other than the price.

KYD uses this general type of flexible hose and love them. I will buy them next time I need one.

The blue version is for potable water. Black is non-potable yard hose.

We also have the Zero-G hose.
The Garden hose does have a bad taste... Got the wrong one first...
You want the the RV and Marine hose for fresh water.

I’ve used these hoses at home and in the RV. Never had one burst. Did have a couple after a couple years use that developed pinhole leaks. I won’t buy anything else. Water taste fine.

I bought ZeroG hoses from CW. https://www.campingworld.com/apex-rv...se-630035.html. A bit pricy, but safe and easy to store. My wife also bought perforated caps to close the ends - keeps bugs our but lets water drain as i roll them up for storage.

I use ZeroG hoses from Lowe's. They are drinking water safe. My only complaint - some of the end connectors like to leak on the back side. It's not a washer problem.

I guess I was lucky and bought the right hose for drinking water. I had no idea...We have never noticed a bad taste. Verified that with DW!
