Adios to the RV lifstyle:

It is with great sadness that we are giving up our truck and 5er. This is the third year in a row that we've had to cancel reservations in FL because of physical problems. I am losing mobility in my shoulders and replacing them won't give back the range of motion that will allow me to do what needs doing on the RV. Also Jeanne has Macular Degeneration that came to light recently and she needs to stay in the area to visit the Dr. every 3 or 4 weeks to get a shot in the eyeball. Tomorrow (Mon. 9th) we are putting the unit at "Rollin' On RV" in Schererville, IN to sell for us. They are going to try to sell it as a complete set-up but will seperate if needed. We have really enjoyed our association with MOC and the ones we've met and talked to. I'll still be reading and probably posting and irritating people on here from time to time. Guess I'll need to be a "greeter."

So sad to hear your news. I have meet you a few times at the Lake Siskiyou Rally's in Ca.

It has been a joy hearing some of your stories and experiencing the realistic down to earth sense of humor you have.

Best of luck to you both in the future.....and Bob don't give up on the Walmart job just yet...LOL!

Bob and Jeanne,
We are so sorry to hear that you won't be RVing any more. We will miss you both! I hope you are able to get your shoulder problems under control. Hopefully Jeanne's Macular degeneration was caught in time to halt its progress.

Good luck in selling your rig. I'll bet you won't have much trouble.

Please stay on the MOC and say hello from time to time.

Our best wishes for you both.

Dennis and Mary Kay

Bob sorry to hear about your Medical issues. However we all will make that decision if we are lucky. The 5th wheels just aren't good when you have Medical issue. We have thought about this often and thats the reason we will keep our stick house. Good Luck. GBY.....

You have made a decision that is the best for you as all of us will one day. Unfortunately this lifestyle can not last forever.Like Delaine and Lindy we have also kept our stick home looking ahead to the same decision for us one day. Best of luck to you and Jeanne as you continue your great adventure through life. Please keep in touch.

Sorry to hear that! I know someday I too will have to decide the limit has come and it won't be a happy day.

Hope you find replacement activities that will continue to satisfy you.

"Ditto," when my time comes. We still have the stick house.

Good luck. A wise decision I'm sure.

So sorry to hear that you are having to give up the home on wheels. Hopefully you will be able to make it down to Florida with someone doing the flying in your future.

My father had Macular Degeneration for years. They have come along way in their treatment of this disease.

Good luck in your sale of your RV and Truck. Hope to see you posting on the board.

Changes that come with passing time take us places where we don't want to go. Courage lets us take the path we must walk. Your courage will let you find your next adventure in life.

Yes, we all will have to leave the road someday. We don't like to think about it but as each day passes, the day we have to quit draws closer. We don't have a stick house; wife wants to live in the 5th wheel on our leased lot in Lakewood, NM.

We are just starting our adventures. In your signature, your USA map is completely colored in. What an achievement! That is our goal before we will have to stop RVing. We wish you both the best of luck in your next chapter in life.

Bob and Jeanne, we sure are happy that we got to meet the two of you twice and then see you on your way home while in Canada last year. We will miss your stories at the Siskiyou rally Bob and Jeanne we also will miss your bidding for first in line, that was a hoot! Keep in touch and we do hope that your health improves.

Bob and Jeanne,
Sorry to see you guys slowing down. Each one of us will eventually have to make the same decision. Roxanne and I will miss you at Siskiyou this year. Whatever you do, don't get rid of the palm trees!
Warmest Regards,
John & Roxanne

Bob and Jeanne -
Best of luck on the next stage of your life. Rollin' On is a great dealer and Kris and his group will do a good job for you, I'm sure. We bought our fist TT and our Montana from him. If I hear of anyone interested, I will send them down to Rollin' On. May God bless and keep you safe.

Jeanne & I both thank you all for the kind words and well wishes. They are appreciated greatly. The MOC has really been an outstanding affiliation for us. Can't find any better. Since Elkhart is so close to us, we might take a day to visit when the rally gets there.
Jim & Vickie; On our map, New Jersy isn't covered but the map is too small to notice. We've been to NJ more times than I can count, but not with the RV.
Ron & Terrie; We got our first 5er from Rollin' On. Traded an '01 Gulfstream class A for a '03 2955RL. And traded that for the '06 3000RK. And they're less than 5 miles from us. Anybody that's in the area, give us a call. We might be able to meet. Again, thanks to all.

We had such a good time at Siskiyou with you both - still taking about the amazing job you did getting your Monty into the campsite. We will miss you both out on the road, but please stay in touch on the forum.
