God bless and keep our active duty service personnel safe. For the veterans who served and returned to the rest of us who can only express our appreciation, thanks for being there, then passing the baton of freedom-keeping.

No matter how distant or detached we are from the fallen hero, there's always the common, close and deep feelings of having to share their loss through thoughts and prayers to the directly affected family and friends. Knowing these sacrifices will never cease, knowing there will be others who fall; we pray for the best and pray when it's worse because they have preserved the freedom to do so.

And for those who don't feel the same as us, just realize you have been given the freedom to willingly think that way because of the efforts and sacrifices of a few. There are plenty of others in this world ready to try and take it away and reduce you to a closet freedom worshipper.

Now, I'll say a few prayers to Cpl Young and his family. Let's remember this does not just happen on Veteran's Day.
