Bar-B-Que Brush WARNING!!!
Just a heads up to y,all. Been in the hospital this last week for throat surgery. Was at family bar-b-que and they cleaned the grill with one of those stiff grill brushes(been doing it for years)from China. Well one brissle fell off and remained on the grill. Lucky me I ate the hamburger that had the brissle in it. Took 4 surgeons and 2 surgerys to get it out. Just a reminder to check the grill after you clean it. I threw away all my brushes a will now only use the pads. Happy Labor Day everyone.

Wow! I would not have thought of a problem like that. We all wish you a speedy recovery.
I am using one of those stiff wire brushes for removing paint. They seem to hold up a lot better and do a great job.

John, thanks for the heads up, I have had several of the stainless brushes do exactly that and have found a wire in my mouth. I have tossed out all my brushes also. Mine had the 3/4 to 1 inch bristles and were about 3x3 or 4x4 in size with a scraper. Kept the scraper... Dave

Glad you're on the mend! What a terrible experience. We wish you a speedy recovery.
We bought the Classic Road Trip Grill http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...ill-blue/35188 and use it for both home and the RV, We clean the surface with a scrubbie - no wire brush ( I had read of this happening).

First time I've heard of that happening (guess I'm isolated.)
That is definitely something that will change my mode of operation to a scrubber; good-bye brush!!!

Guess I'm isolated also.
First time I heard of this. With all the wire brushes out there and the multitude that use them, I'm surprised this has not been reported before.

Hope you are doing well. This happened at our house several years ago and I found the bristle in my mouth. Fortunately, I did not swallow it. I have been VERY diligent in inspecting the grill for these FOREIGN OBJECTS before each use.
