1. Yes they pump gas.
2. If you go to a truck stop - you pump diesel. If you go to corner gas station w/diesel - probably they pump but maybe you pump.
3. High prices - compared to what? They are high all over the NW especially Washington.
4. Waiting time - Only if they are busy.

Regarding Oregon fuel prices: depends on where you stop. We just returned from California and prices there were a bit lower that our local prices (central Oregon), but there again, it depended on where we stopped. There are the internet sites where you can check fuel prices along your route. Enjoy your trip.

In Oregon the dealer is by law required to pump the GAS but you may pump your own diesel.
At every station an attendent did come out to pump our diesel and in every case I indicated I prefer to pump my own. The attendent said fine and walked away.

On the coast the prices were all in the area of 2.99 to 3.19

The safeway grocery stores have a member card and if u purchase grocerys u can get an additional discout. Those that sell fuel give a 03cent a gal discout and if you buy grocerys you can also get an additional 07 cents off making it 10 cents off. I have to eat, so when it shows on grocery slip I fuel up on diesel at the 10 cents off. Cards are free.

On I 84, exit #17 at the Flying J, we paid $2.55/gal diesel in the truck lanes. It is a very busy station and not the easiest getting in or out but we didn't wait too long. You pump your own in the truck lanes. We did the RV lane once and it was difficult getting out of there. I might add that the deisel in the truck lanes is Low Sulfer. The ultra low is in the RV lane and car lanes. That was about a week ago.

Oregon has no sales tax but their gas prices are higher than California and Washington - go figure!

I was under the impression that Washington had the highest gas tax. The reason for the high prices in Oregon is that they have to pay an attendant to pump the gas. Extra emlployees cost money that is passed on to the consumer.
