6 or 7 inches. Try to keep the trailer level

I'm running closer to 5-6 on mine with 2019 F350SRW. No issues so far and I've heard others running about the same. Love my truck but wish it was just a tad lower to the ground. I debated adding air bags, but honestly don't really want to get any more height to the truck. Truck is nearly level and trailer is level to slightly nose high.

6” is generally considered the minimum to keep from hitting going over uneven surfaces. But with today’s tall trucks, hard to get at least that and still keep the trailer level.

I ruled out the ford when the tailgate closed was over my wife eyes. They increased the bed depth by two inches. I similuated trying to put a bag of groceries into the bed behind the cab. I could drop the bag in but it still fell and I couldn't retrieve it without a step stool. They are just making them too tall for anyone under 40 yrs old.
I asked about eliminating the blocks on the springs to lower the rear height and that would change the overall geometry of the suspension.
I could not imagine trying to turn around and use my arms to get my rear up on the tailgate without a ladder. It was just a turn off. I ended up with the Chevy for price over the ram.
