Bob, don't worry. It's correct in the rally book.

I would bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. This is a very busy area for trains but the traffic does slack off in the evening. With the windows closed and the A/C running you may not hear much.It really is not all that bad????

Is there a laundromat in the campground?

There is no laundromat at the fairgrounds. There are three laundromats within 2.5 miles from the campground.

As Rich posted-- If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs-- This is correct but don't worry by the end of the Rally you will be so used to them that when you leave you will wake up wondering where the trains are. Some nights are worse than others when it comes to the trains and since it is a state law they have to blow their horns at each and every road crossing. Some engineers are nice and just "toot" their horns but others I think are part of a satanic cult and love to blow their horns forever (at least it seems that way anyway)

I know, I know Rich! But they will have to look for the reason on their own!

Oh, by the way Bill, nice job of posting the site #s and the maps with the names. Really helpful to all, first timers and the repeaters alike!

I don't know, but I don't think it is meant to be a Q (dah dah dit dah). I suspect each signal has a specific meaning similar to the bells in a mine shaft elevator.

Any other ideas?

Leave it to Rich to turn this from a Site Assignment thread to a discussion about trains.

Site Information

Hello Everyone

Leaving out tomorrow for rally and packing up camper, I wanted too check with attendances all ready there to see if the camp ground is muddy, too see if I need to bring rubber boots to setup, we are in site 244B. It has been very rainy in Ohio.

Thanks
