Storage door for sewer parts, etc...

When we had our 3400RL, we liked the storage door on the driver side near the rear water inlet for our sewer hose and fittings. We use the Sewer Solution, so the boom storage doesn't really work well for us.

Once the door was installed, a friend painted it for us.

You can also put one on the other side of the trailer for double storage.

Snfexpress, very nice job! Our 3400 has that storage, as yours did. And I added another door on the opposite side, as Tom S suggests. I got the idea from member Steves. Works great.

I am looking for the replacement door or frame and door for our sewer hose storage hatch. Can you please tell me where you found these.

My '05 2955 came with a storage door like that. You might get one from a dealer for a 2955. Just a thought.

Just about any RV parts store will have the door and frame. Our challenge was to get it painted...after 3 years, looks as good as new.

Fauch,

The door and frame comes as one integrated unit.

Michael,
Is there some sort of storage box behind the door you added? Really nice job, I really like how clean that mod is.

Nope, just the fender wrap. It isn't a water tight fit, either, which is good to allow water out and air in.

Tanner1070, what's behind the "skin" probably depends on the year and model of rig, but like Steve Riegel mentioned our 2006 models the sewer door is just cut into the side of the wall and there is a frame and underside that creates a large "box" that we can use to store things like sewer hoses, fittings, etc. Since I don't have a painted area there, it would be just a matter of making the cut and installing the new door and voila, instant storage area.

This mod is on "my list" of things to do. This would allow more room in the front storage compartments if I can store these large hoses and fittings elsewhere. Plus since they are associated with sewer drains it would be nice to isolate these from other items in my storage cabinets.
