Rate your RGV Park

Some parks make improvements others just drift with very little upkeep and charge the same rates. How do you like your Park?

You're exactly right! We just attend the ones we like, sometimes overlooking quality as long as we like the area and feel safe. It would appear that as the quality of coaches has improved the park owners would take notice as they are sure to loose some. Yet, today there are so many RVs out there that tey can get away with a little slack.

We have been in Llano Grande Lake Park for the last 7 seasons for January and February and have seen many upgrades to the park. It is kept very clean and has about anything you would want to do in the park, plus many things to do in the area.

Hi

I went to a very old RV park in Ft Lauderdale about 8 years ago intending to stay 30 days on a consulting contract. I sayed for 4 years

Ft. Lauderdale is my home town and I remember this park for over 50 years. It is bordered on all sides by shopping centers and ware houses and the front which was on a dirt road 50 years ago is now on a major 4 lane divided road.

They were never able to add the amentias like a pool and recreation hall etc. But the rent was very acceptable for the condition and type of park.

Then it changes hands. Still little or no improvements but the rent has now gone up to within $50 of the newer parks with all of the amenities.

I haven’t been back since the rent was increased but I would think it didn’t help with occupancy.

From looking at the weather forecasts it appears the RGV parks are saving energy by keeping the heat turned down this year

We have stayed at Alamo Palms Rv Park in Alamo, Tx. for the last couple of winters. It is a large park with many things to do and lots of activities. The park is well maintained, clean, and updated.

This is our 6th winter at Gateway RV Park in Raymondville. We have a large rec hall with many activities.
Have entertainment once a week, dances about every other week, jam sessions once a week, Red Hat group.
Only about 2 miles from a golf course. Those that have park models usually have golf carts and can drive
thru a field to get there. We do have small cement patios and grass. The price is very reasonable.
Any gatherings of MOCers planned?

After 6 yrs at Oleander Acres in Mission, TX we have decided to move on. The last two yrs we let our friendships lead us to stay, but it is clear that management doesn't care about the people that come here so we will move on. We will be moving to Mission West next year where we will have friends that are there and hope that our initial reaction is that here is an owner that cares about the people that come to his park.

We are happy to have Dave & Carla come to our park. We arrived here at Mission West Jan 2013 for almost 4 months and now a full season and have enjoyed everything about this park. The pads to park are extra large to park your rig and vehicle and ample space to enjoy! The owners go beyond and above to make everyone feel very welcomed! The people are very friendly with allot going on in the park, we love it here!

Larry and LaVonne, this move should make it easier for us to get together. We are really looking forward to this move.
