Due to a mishap in traveling(inside of door is shattered)we need to replace our Half Time Oven. Through other posts I had learned you can buy a blemished or refurbished one. Kelly from Half Time Oven gave me the number for Mid West Sales their customer service for RV Half Time Ovens. Those of you that have replaced your oven, is that the company you ordered from? They quoted me $125 for a replacement and $50 shipping. Model# ACC24BIB I thought others had said the oven was $100, so their quote seemed a little high. Any other info would be appreciated.
Kevin and Sharon, That is the place. I bought a new one from them and paid considerably more. Others should be along to tell you what they paid for a refurb one. Steve Reigle bought one and I believe Richfaa did also. We preferred a new one and it has worked fine for over two years, although the door latch is becoming a little sticky. If we need to replace, DW wants another one just like it. She has really learned to operate it and barely uses the bottom oven anymore. BTW : "WELCOME TO THE BEST DARNED FORUM ON THE WWW!!!"
Thanks, Phil. I would not be without my Half Time Oven, it does take time to learn to use it but well worth it. I never use my lower oven either, I have a large toaster oven I keep on top of my Splendide washer/dryer, so between the two I don't need anything else. I even make pies and cakes in them.
I will call Mid West Sales and order one unless someone else comes along with another idea.
When my Apollo Convection heating coils "failed" Midwest Sales did not offer any refurbished ones to me and ordering and installing the replacement convection coils (entire back of the unit) was a lot cheaper than the new one price (maybe around or over $200 best as I recall).
