Use TV hotspot

i Want to use my TV hotspot, (we go to a lot of SC state parks where WiFi is limited.)I am thinking of putting the ignition switch in the accessory position, and attach a trickle charger to prevent the batteries from going dead. Anybody see any issues....

What is the range of your TV hotspot? I would test it out at home if you could before investing in the trickle charger.
Can you leave it in the accessory position with out keys in it?
How long will it stay on?

Have tested, range is good. TV is 2016 GMC Denali SRW Duramax, key would be switched to the accessory position. I was hoping to just leave it in that position as long as I was using the hotspot....hours maybe..?..I figure the charger would keep the batteries charged, not sure of any other issues. Thoughts anyone?

If you have a charger that can keep up with the current draw, the battery will be fine. If you find your signal drops suddenly, it may be because leaving keys in trunk was a bad idea.
