No Refund

We were scheduled to stay at Mountain Meadows RV in Hungary Horse Montana on July 7th and 8th. Were heading for Alberta Canada. Monday afternoon they were calling a red flag warning for Spokane Wa, Idaho and Montana plus lower Alberta. Called Mountain Meadows and they said very smokey. Decided to stop our trip because of fire danger from lightning strike and the smoke and head back home to Eugene from Spokane. Every park we called was courteous in our cancelling reservations except Mountain Meadows who refused any kind of refund. Have contacted Paypal who I charged my reservations to and I am waiting to see what happens. I don't think it unreasonable considering the fire and smoke conditions to ask for a refund. The conditions were going to get bad, I didn't feel it was worth the risk. BEWARE.

I doubt you can get a refund if it was within their cancellation/refund policy. Some parks are more more accommodating than others in special circumstances such as that.

Agree most parks have a refund policy, and enforce them.

Campgrounds in the northeast, and I suspect other areas of the country that have seasonal changes, have a smaller window to make their money, so most tend to be pretty strict about their cancellation policies.

Might be the same RV Park that would not refund our money. We could not make the trip due to my wife's father passing away. No sympathy or understanding from them. This has been seven years ago. Some have very good customer relations and other are more like the IRS.

Paypal said it would take about 10 days to see if they will respond. We'll see what happens.

Their policy is 10 days notice. I guess not unreasonable given this is their prime time. Some flexibility would be nice but unfortunately some peo0le are like Corporal Klinger.... making up excuses...that ruin it for those with reasonable or real hardluck scenarios.

Paypal would not back us on the refund and Mountain Meadows RV park has not responded, so they are on my black list. They won't get any recommendations from me for their park.
