On the news

A Pizza Parlor owner was complaining about the price of flour. It has doubled in the past month to $37 a bag. He has to raise his per slice pieces by $2 to make up for the additional cost.

It seems that there is a shortage of wheat. Many farmers have stopped planting wheat in favor of corn for the manufacture of Ethanol.

Well, I for one will not buy Pizza at $2 a slice, but there are a whole lot of other products out there in the bakery industry that rely on flour. Prices are going to double or triple very soon.
