Does anyone have a Dodge hitch

Hi Everyone,

We are planning on buying a 2018 Dodge Laramie 3500 Duly. Dodge has hitch packages. We are considering it. We had a Reese hitch on our other truck and it gave us nothing but headaches. We are pulling a 34' Montana.

Any comments are appreciated.

Dodge Really?!?!?! Sorry I had to do that.

Seriously though with their 5th wheel puck system there are a variety of hitches you can get. Not sure about Dodge, but Ford has an adapter so you can use any hitch that fits standard rails. Good luck with the search.

We have the Ram factory hitch. It is made by Curt and we are extremely happy with it! That 4 point puck mounting system is fantastic. Easy to take the hitch out (although it is rather heavy). And with the hitch out you have a flat bed which is great for hauling lumber and such!

You can save a little buying it aftermarket but then you have to pay for it out of pocket so why do that.

We also added spray in bed liner and a rubber bed mat. Only down side to the Ram is their body panels are paper thin. Be very careful not to bump into anything as the sheet metal is VERY thin.....

Oh yeah we had a Reese too. It was totally junk. The Curt is way better hitch. No more noisy, sloppy and hard to operate hitch for us! At the time we were towing a 34' Mountaineer. I can't tell you how happy I was to get rid of the Reese.

I have a PullRite in my 2016 Dodge with the factory pucks.

Had to get the Pullrite adapter for the Dodge, but it works fine.

Hello gentleman

The Ram truck has not been manufactured by Dodge for many years now. LOL

I put a B&W in my Ram with the factory puc system. Takes about 10 minutes to install or remove the hitch. I'm sure any of the puc system compatible hitches would work fine. I had a B&W on my prior rig and liked it so when we replaced the rig with one that had the puc system, I just replace the hitch with what I knew.
