Puck System

Just bought a new 2017 ram it has the puck system. I have a q20 curt. question should i change out the legs on my q20 or just buy an adapter. Reese, Pullright and Demco all make one so i can put my hitch right on the adapter. Has anyone done this? and if so what brand did you go with and, or would just changing out the legs be a better way to go instead of using an adapter. Any and all ideas needed.

I have 2017 Ram 3500. I bought the puck mounted rail system from my Ram dealer and used the same fifth wheel hitch that I already have. Works really well, I also have goose neck ball plate that fit on the rails also.

I did same, I had a Reese hitch and just bought the Reese adapter for my 2017 Ford. I find it is easier to remove the 5th wheel from the adapter than remove the adapter from the pucks when I need to use my Gooseneck ball. I since just bought a Curt Q20 (last weekend) and will drop it in same adapter plate.

Yep bought the adapter and set my old hitch on it not a problem. Have a friend who bought the Ford offered puck hitch $1,400 on his new truck. Used it for a year then sold the rig and bought a C Class MH. I paid $300 for the adapter and bought his old 23,000 lb hitch for $200.

We use the Reese adapter on our 2018 RAM 2500. Found it on Craigslist - paid $125. Works great! Using the Reese 20k tube slider hitch.
