Last outing

This afternoon we are meeting friends for our last outing of the year. After we get home on Sunday I will winterize Monte before we head to Fl to our S&B down there. With any luck at all the Fl house will sell in time for our journey back north in March.

I always get bummed out this time of year knowing hooking up to my Montana is drawing to a close for the year. Someday the ole time clock will be in my rear view mirror with miles of open road ahead.

Well put, dieselguy. This is also the grand finale for us in 2014. Always bittersweet because we love the Columbus Day weekend trip. We head north to the White Mountains of NH, or Green Mountains of Vermont. It's beautiful up there and always a great weekend. But the sinking feeling begins to set in as the weekend comes to a close. Someday, we'll be out there with the rest of the fulltimers, good Lord willing.

Yes same for us here to, 1 or 2 more weekend trips into november then will have to put her in hibernation mode till march, like you to we are hoping for the day when the time clock is behind us and we can only see open road to wherever our hearts desire. until then may you all have a great fall/winter until the spring thaws, see you around the MOC.

All you MOC-er's heading to Florida, give us a shout when you get here and we can get together. We have moved, lock stock and barrel, minus the Monty, to Inverness, FL. Last winters much and many temps below "zero" scooted us right out of Michigan, and loving every minute here in Florida. Give a shout when your in the area, or going to be in the area. Happy Trails, Steve and Susie

Monte is all winterized and put into hibernation until next spring. Heading to Fl in 2 weeks and will put the S&B on the market in Feb/Mar. Once it's sold we can visit some other winter hiding places but still summer at our home in Illinois.
