We haven’t did our taxes yet, maybe we should go with the EZ form this year!

Darn I owed $5000. Maybe I should have done the EZ form.
Lynwood
My wife got an inheritance witch she gave to her cousins. It was a 401k from her aunt. She didn't keep one penny. Now we owe $9000.

Sent both Federal and Ohio tax in last week. Get a little bit back from both of them. We try to adjust withholding so we we break even but we never know what our Disney income will be.

2011 was a bad financial year for us. Seven months of unemployment and I had to sell my motorcycle to pay for the taxes on a loan that came due because I lost my job AND I have to pay taxes on the unemployment I received. Talk about insult to injury! We're looking forward to a better year in 2012.
At least it was only money. Others have much more serious things happening in their lives.

Getting back everything we paid. All it takes is a triple bypass and a ICD inplant.

Why don't we get a break when we are forced to retire and then take a withdrawal from a 401K to pay off a mortgage?!?!?!?
my withdrawal and pension payments put me in the 35% bracket! My paid taxes after deductions was 26%!!!
give me Mitt's tax rate please!

I think this is the case with a lot of early retirees who still have mortgages. If any income/expenditure deserves a tax break, it is early withdrawals to pay off mortgage debt! Give me a politician that finds tax relief for hard-working middle income earners and I'll show you a true statesman!
