Slides would not retract
Just wondering if anyone has had this happen - - - After being setup (in camp) for 8 days, prepared to leave. Slides would not retract. Tried everything we knew (which isn't much-ha). Finally was able to find a repair service (1 1/2hr.away) that would come to our rescue. Here was the problem: Front bedroom slide, blew the slide ram bar completely out of the cylinder. Lost all pressure & fluid was in the unit under the bed. The repairman had to take end off of cylinder, put rod back into cylinder and connect. We then had to push the slide in and block it in good so it would not pop out. The other slides then went in. He told us there was no way we could have accomplished this ourselves!! Our unit is 2004 Montana 3400RL and has had very little use due to health problems. We are extremely concerned this happened to such a new unit.

Adagolfer,
You need to call me as soon as you can. 866-524-7821 ext. 4542 and ask for Dale. If you are the original owner, this is under warranty with us even if Keystones warranty has expired.
When you call, I will need to have all of the information of your coach. The last 6 digits of the vin, the date it was built and the date you purchased it.
Have a good evening!
Dale

Thanks Dale - we will call you on Monday, as I assume this is a work number. Since we are fairly new to this site - do you work for an RV company??? Just curous. But, just to let you know, our warranty did take care of total cost of repairs. We only paid a $25. deductible. They also covered the bill for the repairman that temporarily fixed the unit so we could travel. I do have to admit the dealer wasn't very helpful via telephone at the time we needed assistance. They had the unit about 4-5 weeks (to repair). We have it at home now. It sounds like you are #1 on everyone's list!!!!
