Boondocking battery Info

2023 Montana High Country 295RL .. need to know how long your lithium batteries last while boondocking with this same rig. Mine last 8-9 hrs and need to know if this is normal. I have 400i solar as well. Thank you.

I have the same unit. Assuming a full day of sun and starting at 100%. By 7:30 pm (8:00 no gens) my batteries might be around 75%. I run the gen about 30 minuets and bring them to 90%. If I crash around 9:00 or 10:00 by the time I wake up (around 8:00 am) they are around 60%. By the time I start breakfast they are 80% using solar. By noon they're 95%. I do run my gen for coffee and vacuuming.
Short answer using the gen for 1 to 1.5 hours the lowest is 60% SOC. in the morning.
I don't have a 12 volt fridge and I shut off my inverter at night.

The rigs do not all come with the same battery bank and people use their electricity differently. A lot of the rigs come with a single 100 ah battery which is not really intended for boondocking. The easiest answer is to install a bigger battery bank if you want the power to last longer.

It all depends on what battery bank you have and what you are running for how long. For example,
We have a 2024 3123RL with 440i solar and a 12VDC Furrion fridge. I added a Renogy 200watt portable panel and charger to plug into the port in the water box. I have two 230Ah (Will Prowse recommended) Li Time batteries. This September we boondocked for seven days with the batteries staying mostly charged. I did top of with my Honda 2000 running for four hours on several cloudy days. I recommend at least two 230Ah batteries.
