state road laws.

I just read RVTripWizard road laws. I noticed many states have a maximum length on trailers (28'6" & 35'). Has anyone experienced an event of exceeding a states length restrictions? We drove thru and camped in TX & LA with no problem; our 3160RL Monty is 35' long (over the 28'6"). TX & LA have a trailer length restriction of 28'6" & truck & trailer restriction of 55'.
