Too scared to keep 'em
After reading everything here and on other websites, I contacted goodyear about my Marathons. I told them (truthfully) that our Montana 3850FL was driven from our place of purchase in VA to Hilton Head Island and we did not exceed 60 mph but when my husband stopped for gas he touched all the tires, including the trucks and the Marathons were noticibly hot. I told them that we are traveling with a disabled son and having a blowout would be disastrous. They said that unless the tires actually failed there was nothing they could do.
At this point I do not feel at all comfortable driving any distance with them. I know someone mentioned trading out his original tires for G614s and getting a credit for the Marathons. Any advice on the best way to do this? These tires are still new with only the distance from Danville, VA to Hilton Head Island to Atlanta on them.
