That is absolutely amazing. They can put you a new hip in and not only survive the operation but thrive.

It really is amazing. I got my new right one almost three years ago and I kind of kick myself for waiting so long to get it. Therapy was great, and I was told to not over do it, just do what they had me do, because your muscles need time to heal. Kind of glad I didn't get one of those recalled hips that people got years before and had to get them replaced.

Take it slow. I had my right hip done 2013. My left hip was supposed to be done 12/27/2017 but at my pre op the found something needing more test on my heart. Next thing I know I'm having double by pass surgery in February. Widow maker 90% in one artery 50% in another. Fast forward to 6/13/18 got my left hip done & all went great. A few days before taking off for a month long trip to the Oregon coast 9/18/18 my hip starts hurting. Talked to the orthopedic surgeon's office said it might just be swelling from going in & out of our Montana loading it before we left & now at the coast for the last two weeks. Said to ice it & return to one step at a time as told by physical therapist. Made an appointment for when we get home. So don't over do it.

I've had both of my hips replaced. Rehabbed at home using a recumbent exercise bike and doing exercises. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, wish I would of done it sooner. Good luck to you...
