Slides
When bringing the slides in they quit then after a few minutes the system will work again. This will happen from 1 to 5 times while bringing the slides in.

I am curious about what causes this too. I have only had this happen to me once since I have owned mine, which is about a year now.
Anybody know why?

Mine did it last week as well. I remember reading somewhere that this is caused by the switch over heating. It stops to cool down, once cool you can continue bringing the slides in.

It's not the switch overheating, it is the circuit breaker between the battery and the slide pump. It doesn't have a high enough amp rating. We had it happen a couple of times on our '03 2955RL. The dealer put in another and cured the problem. Hasn't happened on this one yet.

I put two 40amp circuit breakers in parallel.
Never missed a beat since. Hydraulics stiffen up a little when it gets colder.
50 amp breaker is not enough.

while at the fall rally someone told the man from lippert about this problem. He went and looked at it and found that the ground wire for the pump has been grounded into the plastic tray and not the metel outside the tray. It is not the power getting to the motor but there is not a good enough ground. JIM

This has been around quite a few times and is common. Dale (MIMF2), formerly w/Lippert helped me out by suggesting to replace the auto-reset 50A breaker, located on the basement bulkhead below the slide hydraulic pump (red cover and cable to the pump). Cheap (

I noticed today the ground wire is on the pump leg which the is bolted to the plastic pan. On the next visit to the dealer they will have to fix it.

Hmmm, this happened more in the older units, like our 2003 model. A new breaker solved that problem.
The 2008's should have the correct breaker, however. Maybe yours is defective. Otherwise, the other possibility is that there is too much friction in moving the slides, causing more amperage draw and popping the breaker. When the breaker cools it resets and you can move the slides again.
One possibility is the slides need lubricating. On a 2008, I wouldn't think they'd need that yet unless they got no lube at the factory. If you use a lube, use either a silicone spray or a dry spray lubricant that does not attract dirt. Test it on a piece of cardboard, then throw dirt on it and see if it sticks. I use a TFE 101 lubricant. Forgot the exact name but can go look if anyone needs it. I've never seen it in a store, just online. Keystone service center recommended this lubricant and it works well.
Do any of your slides seem to jump or hop a little when retracting? If so, then they need lubricating. If not, then maybe not. If not, then I don't have an answer for you (sorry) unless somehow they are out of adjustment and causing more drag from not being straight when retracting. Look to see if one end of a slide starts to move before the other end. There is adjustment info in the manual. Or post back.

I am having this problem also. I have a 50amp breaker. I changed the breaker and the problem went away for a time. Would it be safer to put two 40amp circuit breakers in parallel than two 50amp breaker?

DonPD,
I've used 40amp circuit breakers in parallel for a year plus now, No problem. 2 -50 amp breakers might be pushing it to the edge of the envelope a little.

Check the ground. Keystone ran another ground wire for me at the rally. Better grounding helped me stop blowing landing leg fuses also.
