new here/ furnace qustion
Hello. I have a question . I needed to turn on my RV heater last night , for the very first time. I have a 3791 RD and for the life of me can not find any type of furnace thermostat in my RV. Is the heater controlled by my A/C thermostat? I cycled through the a/c modes and do not see a heater mode. Any help to this dumb question would help
TIA

Welcome aboard, I'm sure you'll find the answer here.
You might upload a pic of your thermostat. Most likely you just need to scroll through the modes until you get to the heat setting. The older manual thermostats were easy to tell because you had a select switch with the obvious choices.
The newer ones are digital with fewer buttons but all the options.
Edit: Here's a pic of mine. If you also have a heat pump in addition to your gas furnace then there will be 2 different heat modes. The heat pump is only usable above 40 degrees.

thanks for the quick reply. I cycled through all of the modes and all I get is
off- cool-fan no heat , I just read the manual and it says I should see it . I went to zone1 then toggle mode and that's all I get , off - cool--fan
I never camped in the cold and could have used it last night

Do you have just one thermostat or two? If two, your furnace will only be controlled by one of the thermostats.

Yes, the bedroom thermostat will control only the bedroom AC. The main living area TStat will control the heat. If you have only one TStat and get no heat mode then perhaps the TStat is faulty. This kind is known to be glichy

It is also possible the dip switches on the AC board were not flipped correctly. If the dip switch for furnace is in the wrong position it will not show that option on the thermostat.

I have 1 tstat with 2 zones. Living room and bedroom. Where are these dip switches located? Is something I can fix on my own?

Sounds like you have a CCC2 thermostat. I’ve had mine drop a model before.
Zone 1 should be for furnace and you should see FURN as a choice when zone 1.
If this is a Dometic CCC2 multi zone thermostat try doing factory reset on Tstat

This will explain your CCC2 thermostat. The dip switches are l9dated up on roof under Zone 1 air conditioner cover on its electronic control module

Thermostat
[We have the same rig and the furnace is controlled by the same one as the ac. As you toggle through it, you will see ac, furnace and heat pump.
