My 'Tank Cache'

This is my latest, it took around a week of planning and execution, lots of Pondering and re-design.
I don't know what to name it.. besides the obvious referral to the Tank... I have to name it, think of a cool story and find a background for it without giving the Cache away. might take another week or so... THEN, I have to find a good hiding place, easier in the Mohave Desert.. The woods around here aren't as good for hiding Geocaches.

(On edit, I found a picture right after I welded it)

You should come out and visit. We are directly across the road from one end of the Yuma proving ground. Tanks, rockets or something were being tested a little while ago. That bad boy would fit right in.

Wow Ozz, you should worry about giving the cache away? I think you are gonna be the guy who causes caches to get stolen because of the coolness factor. I'm glad you have the time, cause I sense this prevents otherwise mischievous shenanigans since you are probably prone. What's that thing weigh?

As for the name, How about Rusty, or Kelly (from Kelly's Heroes), or Incredible Bulk, or...?

Next time you're in Mohave, lemme know. That's sorta right up the road from my house.

Thanks KOLCB and Champ, I like to make them from an idea in my Pea-brain to the finished project. One of mine is the top 20 in K.C. The Cachers really like the Geo-art.
Art, I had some vandalized and stolen when I first started here in town, I put the word out that if and when I found them, there would be serious consequences for their actions. Anyone who really knows me will understand.
It was a cacher from the community, which is small compared to the big city here.
I have not had any stolen for a year or so, if they take it, I will make another. I meant the Mohave Desert, but I would love to mee you sometime. and yes, that sucker is heavy.

Yup, us locals call it Mohave to mean Mohave Desert, the one in California. I knew what you meant since I didn't think it was in Kansas.

It would be fun to make these, but the incessant references to, "Hey, look, a work of Art" would bug me to no end. I can't tell you how many times I've heard that one. If you're the pea brain, I won't say what mine is. Good job!

Other names to consider: Heavy Metal, Tank you very much, Tank buster or, Got Tank?!

No, we're out in the desert 40 miles north of Yuma. My internet service is sometimes iffy and an iffy time came when I tried to hit submit reply.

Wow... too obvious, but the tank does look more like Patton's Sherman than one of Rommel's Panzers. Sherman or Patton are good names.

Art, it is a wonder it looks like anything, I just used shop scraps. I tried to be a little subtle on the cache name.

Oh yeah, but my imagination makes anything you make look good! And Sherman is a good tank name, even though the tank was questionable during wartimes and the U.S. lost lots of tankmen. It was weaker than most others but the U.S. had a LOT of them and won via the numbers game. They were so cheap and plenty even the U.K. used them. So based on that association your tank cache is a winner.

Sherman, a wonderful name, proud, American, and histories!

Now, I must say that the first thing that came to my feeble mind was (drum roll please) Mr. Peabody and Sherman. I watched a video of when Mr. Peabody adopted Sherman but could not find it again to post as a link. Come to find out there is a movie coming out next year about Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Go figure!

Love your cashes!
