Schwintek issue on New Montana

Hello everyone. So looking at a 3121 setting on a dealers lot. Asked the sales person to operate the bedroom slide and it would not go out without making some very loud grinding noise. After a little investigation we discovered that the front bottom track was chewed up and you could tell the gear was jumping out of the track. Could not find any obstructions. He had the trailer on a battery jump pack and the voltage was low, could low voltage cause this issue?

The dealer of course says they will fix it and I am sure it is fixable. We are not necessarily concerned about them being able to get it to work but are there other issues we cant see and will they actually fix it or just make it work to get it off the lot.

Anyone heard of issues like this with a Schwintek? Should we just walk away?

Thanks

Watch this video. Jump to 7:00 minutes in the video and then you decide if this slide out system was the right choice for the slide that's lacking.

Keep looking at others. Tell the dealership, fix it first and call me when it's ready.
If it's still the model you like and the slide runs as smooth as butter, make your best deal.
Under the slide make sure the rollers are touching the bottom and that they actually roll as the slide goes in and out. I drew a line on my rollers with a sharpie so I could be sure they were working properly.
I also added more rollers under the end of the bed and more screws and brackets to secure the bed to the moving slide. I've read of cases where they become detached.
