Toilet leaking.

Got back to the Montana today after sitting for a month. When the water was turned on, the foot pedal started to leak around the lower black cap. This happened before, but seemed to seal itself then. This time, it won;t stop dripping. Nothing is loose. You can see the water oozing around the black cap. Did a search for leaking toilets and found no solution. Any ideas?

We had a similar problem with ours and ended up replacing the water valve assembly. I called Dometic/Sealand at 1-800-321-9886 and they sent me one at no cost under warranty. The basic warranty is 3 years. Replacing the valve was pretty simple and straight forward. If I remember right the instructions for doing the repair were included with the new valve.

Thanks Jack! It pays to put your problems here on the MOC,someone almost always comes thru. I just got off the phone with them and they are sending a new valve body!

Good Luck Steve on the repairs. Leaking toilets are priority 1 in my book. Just can't figure out why??
