Got it

Well, we showed up at 9:00 in the morning to start our walk through and left with our new 3150 at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon. The dealer had noted several small items and we found several more including a shower leak which was hopefully????????? fixed prior to us leaving. Right now we are sitting in the recliners watching a DVD at an RV park about three miles from the dealer. Well, tomorrow is a new day and a new adventure.

Thanks to the forum, (read almost every post prior to buying the fifth wheel) we were able to do a quality PDI.

What dealer did you buy from? Any advice for someone who will be going throught the process soon?
(I have the PDI printout already from the MOC forum)

Congratulations on your new addition to the family. Keep us informed by posting the tales of your adventures and of course don't hesitate to ask questions, report problems and keep us apprised of your modifications (there are always modifications!!).

Congratulations, we really like our 3150RL too.

Was your shower leak in the corner, by the steps? Thats where ours leaked when we first picked it up.

Kingdaddy- We bought fron Cousin Gary's in Redding Ca. First off, as Oldelmer1 asked, the shower leaked at the left lower corner. We went through the PDI with the tech and then spent another two or so hours on their lot going through the interior and exterior on our own. With three sets of eyes and hands we found not only the water leak but also four or five other cosmetic issues. We spent our fist night at an RV park about five miles away from the dealer just in case we found a major issue and needed to take it back. The first night we were extremely cold and could not figure out why? The next morning I found that we or rather I left the Fantastic fan on and it works. Overall, we are very pleased with our choice and are looking forward to many years of happy use.

I would like to thank everyone here that has posted in the past as the information posted gave us great insight during our PDI as to what to look for. Kingdaddy my advice to you would to be careful when buying accessories at the dealership. After our walkthrough we were escorted into the store and shown various trinkets to buy. As this is not our first rv, I had a relatively good idea of prices and exactly what we needed for our first two nights. We took the freebies and only opted to trade up to six volt batteries and bouht a couple of RV specific items.

Enjoy your new Monty. We have enjoyed all our trips in ours from the weekend to several weeks. There is a great group of people in California and through out the MOC family. Attend the rallies as they are a great time. You have the Spring Rally in California this year and if you can attend and meet your new Family

Thanks for the advice! I will be armed with the PDI document from the forum and the checklist for arrival and departure. Also armed with some information and advice from spending too much time on the forum reading!
I will be careful about buying any "trinkets" while at the dealer. They have a tech scheduled to spend the day with me going through the PDI process and instructions on how to hitch, unhitch, operate all the systems etc. I will then spend the night in a campground right there on their property to test out everything and answer any more questions the next day. Then it's time to hit the road for the return trip home and plan our first real trip!
