Update - 3 free new tires from the local shop today. They had never heard of the recall either. They need to hang out here too! I had already bought the other new one before the second blowout, so I have to go through corporate Michelin to get that money, as well as to claim my insurance deductible. Then I have to discuss the new damage and how that will be covered. Or do you all think I should just punt to Progressive for recovery of the previous damage money as well as the new damage?
Anyway, I am wiped out now! Most of the day was spent jacking up Monty, removing tires, transporting tires, picking up tires, remounting tires! I (knock on wood) have never had a blow out or flat in a passenger car or truck in 35 years of driving. Seems like owning a 5er makes it an integral part of one's life!
Thanks again for all of the input. The recall info was invaluable.

I would contact the tire manufacture and see if they will pay for damage--we have been able to get it paid for when a marathon blew. it won't hurt to call them
